Microsoft offers mice and keyboards and so does Logitech. Logitech products cut into Microsoft products and the profit Microsoft can get from them. You can't eliminate one form of competition and claim that another form is reason for them to not allow something. It's a much better system than games using a 1234 numbering scheme regardless of what the actual controller buttons are. It's become the de facto standard gamepad scheme on PC. Also of note is that Logitech, and many other 3rd party PC gamepad manufacturers have adopted the ABXY naming scheme from the Xbox 360 controller. Yes, but Logitech don't provide direct competition to their biggest source of revenue, whereas Sony does, and the PS3/4 controller is branded and marketed as part of that competition. The PS4 controller is a good start but they're still not there yet. It's Sony who should really step up and make official drivers and tools for their gamepads. ![]() Maybe they want people to only buy Microsoft products, but they're not stupid enough to try and force it. It'd be ridiculous for them to block off Sony. They haven't started blocking Logitech and other third parties from making gamepads for Windows. but Micro$oft dont want windows to support official ps3-4 drivers so thay make more money.
